time to leave the playground :(

it’s the formal end of the surgery dept. [still have the last shift on sunday!]

i can still remember the first day we went to the surgery secretariat. there i was, standing in front of the wall posts, staring into the surgery schedule. a rush of blood was pumped, my adrenaline raised. i really really wanted to be a surgeon. and at that time, i was hoping i can get any convincement through my rotation at this dept.

9 weeks have passed. and surgery is still my passion. the only turning point is when it comes to my responsibility as a grown-up woman, later. i had seen grey’s anatomy, nip/tuck, and heard things… but the past weeks, i saw by my very own eyes, how the surgery residents sacrifice their right to live to give 200% of their energy to save lives, without being paid. haha, and even them who are already surgeons… they really are that busy. oh, i thought, it wasn’t just a script then… it really is a reality. and seeing that reality, to be honest… i’m still not sure that i could accomplished, both my passion and my responsibility later… as a wife and a mother. 😛
